Managing Browser Profiles

Learn how to create, organize, and manage browser profiles in NestBrowser for safe multi-account operation.

Browser profiles are the core of NestBrowser. Each profile is a completely isolated browser environment with its own unique fingerprint, cookies, cache, and optional proxy. This guide explains how to create and manage them effectively.

Creating a New Profile

  1. Click New Profile in the NestBrowser dashboard
  2. Enter a Profile Name — use descriptive names (e.g., “Amazon Store A”, “TikTok Brand Account”)
  3. Configure the fingerprint:
    • OS: Choose Windows or macOS to base the fingerprint on
    • Browser: Chromium-based (recommended) or Firefox-based
  4. Optionally assign a proxy (see proxy setup guide)
  5. Click Save

Profile Organization

Groups and Folders

Organize profiles into groups:

  • Click New Group → name it (e.g., “Amazon Accounts”, “Client: Acme Corp”)
  • Drag profiles into groups
  • Use bulk actions to move or delete multiple profiles

Profile Status Indicators

Each profile displays a status badge:

  • 🟢 Active: Profile is currently running
  • 🟡 Idle: Profile is saved but not running
  • 🔴 Error: Proxy connection failed or other issue

Search and Filter

Use the search bar to quickly find profiles by name. Filter by:

  • Group
  • Status (active/idle)
  • Creation date

Editing Profile Settings

To modify a profile, click the Edit (pencil) icon:

Fingerprint Settings

  • User-Agent: Automatically set based on OS/browser selection, or customize manually
  • Screen Resolution: Choose from common presets or enter custom values
  • Language and Timezone: Set these to match your proxy’s location
  • WebGL: Auto-generated or manually specify GPU vendor/renderer

Browser Settings

  • Start URL: Set a homepage for this profile
  • Extensions: Upload .crx extension files to use in this profile
  • Storage: Clear cookies, cache, or local storage

Launching and Using Profiles

Click Launch next to any profile. A new browser window opens with the configured fingerprint.

Profile Session Management

When you close the browser window:

  • Auto-save session: Cookies and session data are saved (default)
  • Clear on exit: Session data is cleared after each use (for one-time operations)

Toggle this in profile settings → Session tab.

Importing and Exporting Profiles

Import from Cookies

If you already have accounts logged in elsewhere:

  1. Export cookies from your existing browser (use a cookie export extension)
  2. In the profile, click Import Cookies
  3. Paste the Netscape-format cookie string
  4. Launch the profile — you’ll be logged in

Export Profile Config

To share or back up a profile configuration (without sensitive session data):

  • Click the three-dot menu on a profile → Export Config
  • Share the .json file with teammates or import on another device

Bulk Operations

Select multiple profiles using the checkboxes:

  • Bulk launch: Open multiple profiles simultaneously
  • Bulk edit: Update proxy or fingerprint settings across many profiles
  • Bulk delete: Remove profiles (with confirmation)

Tips for Profile Naming

Good naming conventions save time when you have many profiles:

  • [Platform]-[Account Identifier]AMZ-Store-Alpha
  • [Client Name]-[Account Type]AcmeCorp-Facebook-Main
  • [Region]-[Platform]-[Number]US-TikTok-01

Consistent naming makes searching and organizing much easier.
